McMafia is a BBC television eight-part drama series created by Hossein Aminiand James Watkins and directed by James Watkins. It was inspired by the non-fiction book, McMafia: A Journey Through the Global Criminal Underworld(2008) by journalist Misha Glenny.[2] It stars James Norton as Alex Godman, the British-raised son of a Russian mafiaboss. Living in London, Alex’s father is trying to escape from organised crime. It is co-produced by the BBC, AMC and Cuba Pictures. Broadcast on BBC Onestarted on 1 January 2018.[3][4][5] and on AMC it will start on the 26th of February 2018.
